STORY
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church stands as a place of faith, prayer, and devotion in the heart of Newark. For over 60 years, our parish has been a spiritual home where the faithful gather to worship God and grow in holiness.
Our parish is served by the Franciscan Friars of the Third Order Regular (TOR), a religious community inspired by the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi. Through their dedication to prayer, humility, and service, the Franciscans help guide our community in living the Gospel with simplicity and love.
Rooted in Catholic tradition and strengthened by generations of parishioners, our community continues to carry forward a legacy of faith, unity, and service. Through every season, we remain committed to proclaiming the Gospel and building a parish family centered in Christ.
OUR FAITH &
TRADITIONS
Our parish life is centered on the Holy Eucharist, the source and summit of our Catholic faith. Through the celebration of the Mass, the Sacraments, and the liturgical seasons of the Church, we deepen our relationship with Christ.
As a parish dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we honor the Blessed Mother with special devotion, seeking her intercession and example of faithfulness. We also cherish the cultural and spiritual traditions that enrich our community and unite us as one body in Christ.
