The Easter Vigil: From Darkness to Light

The Easter Vigil is the most important and beautiful liturgy of the entire year. It begins in darkness and leads us into the light of Christ’s Resurrection.

The celebration starts with the blessing of the fire and the lighting of the Paschal Candle, symbolizing Christ as the light of the world. Through Scripture readings, we journey through salvation history, remembering how God has always been present and faithful to His people.

During this night, we also celebrate new life through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. It is a moment of great joy, renewal, and hope.

The Easter Vigil reminds us that no matter how dark life may seem, the light of Christ will always overcome darkness.
